How UseMyPass works
A safe way for USC students to buy and sell student football ticket transfers — no more sending a Venmo and hoping the other person follows through.
List your ticket
Post it on the marketplace at a fixed price so anyone can buy it, or start a private trade if you already have a buyer — that gives you a link to send just to them, and it never shows up anywhere public.
The buyer pays
Payment happens right away through Stripe, but it doesn't go to you yet — it's held until the transfer is actually confirmed.
You transfer the ticket on USC's site
Do the transfer the normal way through USC's own ticketing system, then forward USC's confirmation email to the address UseMyPass gives you for that trade.
Funds release automatically
Once that confirmation is verified, the held payment releases to you — no waiting on anyone to manually approve anything.
If something doesn't go through
If nothing's confirmed within 24 hours, the buyer is refunded automatically. Nobody ends up stuck holding money or a ticket with nothing to show for it.
Where does the money actually go?
Straight from the buyer to the seller. When a buyer pays, that charge goes directly onto the seller's own Stripe account — the same payment processor behind Amazon, Shopify, and most of the internet. UseMyPass's own bank account is never in that path; the money doesn't pass through us on its way to you. Stripe holds it on the seller's account until the transfer is verified, then releases it, and UseMyPass collects its small service fee automatically through Stripe at checkout — the same way any marketplace does. We never touch your money directly.
Why forward a confirmation email?
It's the one piece of proof that the transfer actually happened — a real email from USC's own ticketing system, not a screenshot either side could fake. If it doesn't match up automatically for some reason, it just goes to manual review instead of getting rejected outright.
